Planning and Design

The Planning and Design is looking at the regeneration of Stowmarket. Examples of work this group have undertaken are: Evaluation of the signage in the Town, members of the CIC photographed all the directional signs in the Town, these were collated and a list of what we no longer need alongside what we do require was given to County Highways department.

The group are currently supporting Mid Suffolk District Council in a bid for funding from Townscape Heritage to improve areas of the Town Centre. This group are looking at an arboretum in the Town, identifying a number of significant trees and develop a trail around the town showing the trees and their history.

This Group is chaired by David Benham (MSDC Regeneration Manager) and meets usually the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6.30pm.
